The Vistoso Golf Club is one of the great public golf courses in Southern Arizona. It is located in Oro Valley which is a northern suburb of the city Tucson. Vistoso is surrounded by two sets of mountains the Santa Catalina’s and the Tortolita’s. The desert foliage combined with the majestic mountain views makes for an unparalleled optical experience.
Vistoso is a championship par 72 golf course designed by part-time Scottsdale, Az resident Tom Weiskopf. Its signature hole #14 a drivable par 4 named “Risky”. It boasts a championship tee rating of 72.1 and a slope of 143 for the men and back tee rating of 73.9 with a slope of 142 for the women. The Vistoso golf operation is managed by Class A teaching professional and Head Golf Professional Cindy MacNider. The golf course offers both men and women leagues open to the public with availability to hold your own golf tournament as well. Besides the golf course is aesthetically pleasing and a great challenge the practice area is also exceptional. It offers a practice tee on both ends of the range, multiple practice greens, and a sand bunker. For your dining experience, Vistoso offers the Tortolita Terrace. This large and charming covered patio is available for food service from 8 am to 3 pm daily and the bar is open from 7 am to 5 pm daily. The Tortolita Terrace has breathtaking views of the surrounding golf course, desert, and mountains and is a relaxing spot for a great meal or just a cocktail with friends. The Tortolita Terrace also has special dining events like Mother’s Day brunch, and may also be reserved for wedding ceremonies, receptions or any other special gathering you may need.
