At the end of June 18 homes were active and available to purchase, 2 were bank owned and 16 are traditional sales. The lowest priced active listing was 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1,479 square foot single family home for $150,000. While the highest and largest home was listed for $349,900 with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 4,071 square feet of living room. The median price this month is $249,500 and median size of 2,775 square feet. The median square footage is much larger than the average size home which comes in at 2,250 square feet.
7 Homes sold in June and all of them were traditional sales. This marks another month of no short sale or foreclosure sales which is the new normal. Of the homes that sold 2 were financing conventional and the 5 were FHA or VA (Federal housing Administration or Veteran Affairs). The average selling price for Sierra Morado homes as $230,545 with an average dollar per square foot of $103. Size wise of homes sold ranged from 1,297 to 4,071 with an average days on market o f 50.
Tucson housing sales had an excellent month too. Comparably the average selling price for all of Tucson and surrounding areas was $219,370 with average days on market at 60. 1,481 homes, condos, and townhouses sold in June 2015. Great news for home sellers was they received 97% of their asking price. Looking ahead to July 2015 2,114 Tucson homes, condos, and townhouses went under contract by June 30th, 2015. This means that many of the 2,114 will close in July.
